Maxx Stories can be used as supplemental materials for any multisensory, structured reading program. The stories consist of decodable text and range in levels from consonant blends/short vowels through CVC syllable pattern and soft g and soft c. Only certain phonics levels are highlighted, and all stories are rich with illustrations, humor and touching messages.

Decodable text focuses on providing students with practice of a particular target sound or structure. These stories weave in natural sounding language and as much as possible imbues their text with literary qualities.
