here is a new non-fiction series at the Sound Out ‘C’ Level. Each
phonics-based chapter book in the City Secrets series gives reluctant or
beginning readers a chance to explore a sinking city, a floating town,
underground streets, an icy outpost, and even a secret base inside a mountain!

With all Sound Out Chapter Books, students have a chance to read engaging
informational text while the controlled vocabulary helps them practice phonics
and basic word-building skills. Sound Out Level C introduces the following
skills: one-syllable spelling patterns, word endings, compound words, prefixes
and suffixes, and simple two-syllable words.
Each book is 5x7, 32 pages. |
